Perfect for wearing or to display. Featuring a series of small circular gems embellish this lovely Turquoise Brooch. This lovely and Rare Antique Turquoise Brooch is of fine polished sterling silver, accented with Pavé Persian Turquoise gemstones is accented with the original curved pin on the opposite side. A beautifully designed of a dainty size, measuring approximately just under 3/4" of an inch x just under 3/4" of an inch. Due to it's extreme rarity, you would pay a small fortune for this gorgeous and dainty 'work of art' at a finer antique or vintage estate jewelry store ($300+) so this represents a wonderful opportunity to own a beautiful antique treasure at such a great price.

During the early and late Victorian periods use of turquoise in fine jewelry was highly desired and most popular. With nearly 60 finely sculpted and carved smooth cabochons of genuine, untreated, natural Persian turquoise you can rest assured this stunning one-of-a-kind piece took many days if not weeks to design and masterfully create. The settings are so close together that only the extremely teeny tiny hard to see metal prongs are exposed between. Under a loop they took like extremely tiny hand-crafted silver burrs were used to hold the lovely stones in place. Of the finest quality.

Occasionally on pieces of this period there may be a very tiny stamped marking that looks like it reads "800" for sterling. However, this piece is not marked, which could mean that it is even older.
