Rare Authentic Victorian Era Earrings!
Offered for sale is a truly gorgeous rare pair of Antique Victorian (created slightly after the Georgian era) earrings. Circa 1838. Gloriously crafted. Beautifully styled in 18k rose-yellow gold. Full round cut white sapphire that look like diamonds', typical of that period, are surrounded by elegant and fine quality workmanship. Amazing tiny little filigree-like Fleur De Les adorn the open sides, top, bottom. Also featuring open backs to allow the light to illuminate the tiny rose cut diamond-shaped white sapphires which could pass in appearance for antique diamond-like paste. Each sapphire crystal is nestled in a dainty white 18k gold floral 4-petal flower. A classic pair of Victorian heirloom earrings in excellent original condition. Would sell in any reputable Antique store for approx. $700+. The perfect addition to your collection of fine antique heirloom quality jewelry. Would make wonderful gift for any Holiday! Condition: RARE, PERFECT & absolutely PRISTINE!
Victorian Sapphire: Approx - 3MM by 2.8MM each. In excellent condition and fully *faceted (*rose cut diamond-style appearance), free of cracks or chips. Beautiful!
Pearls: Luminous Salt Water Platinum-Silver Grey Hue (not white) Pearls which are small. Both Full Rounds AAA+ Quality. Dangle, drop, dripping from the ear.
Metals: Tested as 18K, 18ct, 18 carats. A nice heavy weight to each, as much amazingly hand-crafted and highly detailed 18k gold was used in these fine beauties. The finest!
Metal Color: Sultry Yellow gold that looks more yellow or rose gold depending on certain lighting. Bright gold which is quite exquisitely hand-crafted as you can see.
Hallmarks: Solid 18k. The earrings are hallmarked with a French mark that is an eagle’s head, in use since 1838, indicating 18 karat gold. Assayed French gold is never lower than 18k. Also has another hallmarked which we can not make out and is too small to photograph clearly.
Weight: Approx. 2.8 grams Heavy yet extremely comfortable to wear. Of the finest quality!
Size & Measurements: nearly 15MM Tall x 7MM Wide
