This gorgeous multi purpose box is a beautiful vivid baby blue / sky blue turquoise hue (lighter than Cornflower blue). The sterling silver cover is decorated with a fine quality guilloche enamel design. The enameling is engine turned which is a lovely type of machine engraving in a circular patterns. A lovely soft and lustrous hue which is most appealing to the eye and provides a distinctive contrast with the cool elegance of the sterling silver. Translucent enamel enameling showcases the patterns sheer beauty. The enamel is in excellent condition. An aesthetically pleasing silhouette. The sterling is in excellent condition with no rips, large dents, chomps or repairs, all original. The underside of the lid is gilt or gilded in gold wash. We have since removed the lovely vintage/antique sterling patina by polishing and this stunner's sterling will arrive to you clean, shiny and bright. The mark of "STERLING" is found on the outer rim along with a makers hallmark. Tested as solid sterling silver. The lid is quite heavy, so there is quite a lot of sterling sliver showcased in this elegant genuine antique treasure. This piece appears to have the original beveled glass which is in excellent condition. Super clean interior.

CONDITION: We can not see any other surface scratches to the top enamel clear coat as it is in near pristine extremely attractive condition with the exception of a tiny blemish to the outer rim. Which does not in our opinion detract from the elegance. There are No cracks or chips to the body or beveled rim jar. Only a few faint surface scratches to the very bottom. Most sellers may not report this as it is minor to the true collector, and because they are faint, but we do wish to be accurate. Lovely portrait of etched floral flowers. High quality. A stunning and very special piece.
